i think i really don't understand the majority of the population. i'm doing this networking seminar type thing and we have mentors that are all graduates of MIT and have "relevant positions" to the engineering field. they have electrical engineering degrees, math degrees, computer science degrees, materials science engineering degrees, aerospace engineering degrees.... you know, the type you get at a tech school. the thing is, maybe one of them *actually* does a job that relates to their major. the rest: investment banking, finance management, sales advocate etc.
they tell us the world doesn't revolve around money? but how could you do a job like that when you could really be solving problems.
i refuse to sink low enough to center my career around money, unless it's directly channeling it to people who actually need it.
